Privacy Policy
For Fishtown District and every neighborhood app built on Fynd.
1. Introduction and who we are
Earnz LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company doing business as "Fynd" ("Fynd," "we," "us," or "our"), builds neighborhood mobile applications that help residents and visitors discover local news, events, deals, and businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our Apps, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you.
Our business address is Earnz LLC d/b/a Fynd, 1212 Stongs Lane, Ambler, PA 19002.
2. Scope — apps covered by this policy
This Policy applies to every neighborhood mobile application we build, publish, or operate on the Fynd platform, including Fishtown District and any future neighborhood-specific application we release under the Fynd brand (each, an "App," collectively the "Apps"). Each App is customized for a specific neighborhood but shares the same underlying data practices described here.
Where an individual App displays a different support contact for local matters, that contact is in addition to, not a replacement for, the privacy rights and contact described in this Policy. This Policy does not cover any third-party website, product, or service that links to or from an App, except where explicitly noted.
3. Information you provide to us
The Apps do not require you to create an account, register, or log in. We only receive personal information when you choose to give it to us:
- Newsletter signup
- Your email address
- Contact or inquiry form
- Your name, email address, message content, and the in-app page you contacted us from
- Business claim
- Your name, email address, a note describing your connection to the business, and any photo or document you attach as proof
4. Information collected automatically
Because there is no account or login, the Apps create a random, anonymous installation session the first time you open the App. It is stored securely on your device, in its encrypted keychain or keystore, and is used as a technical credential that lets your device submit the forms above, and as a pseudonymous identifier for product usage analytics. It is not derived from, and does not contain, your name, email address, or any device advertising identifier.
Using that anonymous session, we collect product usage events — the screens you open, the listings you view, the words you type into search and the filters you pick, and interactions such as tapping call, directions, share, or visit website — along with basic technical data such as App version, operating system, and diagnostic information needed to operate and update the App.
These events are associated with your anonymous installation identifier, not your name or email, unless you separately submit one of the forms above from the same device. We do not use this information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with ad networks or data brokers.
5. Location and motion information
With your permission, the Apps use your device's location, while the App is in use, to show nearby places on the map and sort listings by distance. We also request motion data to keep your position accurate as you walk. We do not request or use background location access.
As of the Effective Date of this Policy, location and motion information is processed entirely on your device to power map features and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. You can grant, deny, or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's system settings.
6. Photos and files you upload
The Apps request photo library access only so you can attach a proof photo or document when submitting a business claim. We do not access your photo library for any other purpose, and we do not scan or analyze it beyond the specific file you choose to upload. Files you upload are transmitted securely and stored with our data processor until the retention period below expires.
7. Push notifications
If you enable push notifications, your device generates a push token — a unique identifier issued by Apple or Google that lets us deliver notifications to that specific device. We receive this token and associate it with your anonymous installation identifier, not your name or email, unless you have separately submitted one of the forms above. We use push notifications to alert you to neighborhood news, events, deals, or updates related to content you have engaged with in the App.
Push delivery is handled through Expo's push notification service, which in turn relies on the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM); those providers process your push token under their own privacy policies. You can disable push notifications at any time.
8. Information from third-party services
The Apps use the Google Maps SDK to render the in-app map. Google may collect and process certain device and usage information when the map is displayed, under Google's own privacy policy. We do not control, and are not responsible for, Google's data practices.
The Apps are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and updated in part through Expo Application Services. Apple and Google separately collect information related to your download, installation, and use of the App under their own privacy policies, and may provide us with aggregated install, crash, or performance statistics.
9. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and provide the features of the Apps
- Respond to messages sent through the contact or inquiry form
- Review, verify, and respond to business claim submissions
- Send newsletter content to subscribers and let them unsubscribe
- Send push notifications, if you have enabled them
- Understand how the Apps are used so we can fix problems and improve features
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our terms
11. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Newsletter subscription
- Until you unsubscribe; your email is then kept on a suppression list to honor your opt-out
- Contact and inquiry messages
- 24 months from your last message, then deleted or anonymized
- Business claims and proof files
- 24 months after the claim is resolved. Approved claims retain the minimum information needed to administer the listing while it remains claimed
- Anonymous usage analytics
- Up to 14 months linked to your installation identifier, then aggregated or de-identified
- Push notification token
- Until you disable notifications, uninstall the App, or the token is invalidated or replaced by your device's operating system or push provider
- Anonymous installation identifier
- Persists on your device until you delete or reinstall the App, or ask us to disassociate it
- Security and fraud-prevention logs
- Up to 12 months
12. Your privacy choices
- Device permissions — allow, deny, or revoke location, motion, photo library, and notification access at any time in your device's system settings. Revoking a permission may limit related features, such as distance sorting on the map
- Newsletter — every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also email us to be removed
- Access, correction, and deletion — because the Apps do not use accounts, email privacy@fyndapps.com from the address you used to contact us, subscribe, or submit a claim, and tell us what you would like us to do. We verify requests using the email address on file and respond within 45 days
- Do Not Track — we do not track you across third-party websites or apps for advertising, and browser-based Do Not Track signals do not apply to native mobile Apps, so we do not currently respond to them
13. California and U.S. state privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, "CCPA"), gives you the rights described below. As a matter of policy, we extend the same rights to all U.S. users of the Apps regardless of state of residence, including users in states with comparable laws such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah.
Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to know and access your personal information, to delete it, and to correct it. You also have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do neither, but you may still contact us to confirm this — and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

- Sensitive personal information

14. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information you share with us, including encrypting data in transit (HTTPS/TLS), storing your anonymous session credential in your device's hardware-backed keychain or keystore, and using access-controlled, signed upload links for claim proof files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. Children's privacy
The Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, email privacy@fyndapps.com and we will promptly delete it.
16. International users
The Apps are intended for use by individuals located in the United States. If you access an App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.
17. Third-party links and services
The Apps may link to third-party websites, external map applications for directions, or social sharing options. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing them with information.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice, for example through an in-app notice or App update notes. Continued use of an App after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
19. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
